Topic - Broomwood School Values
Throughout the next few weeks our topic lessons will be to identify the key values of Broomwood School, understand what these values mean and the impact these values have on our daily lives. These sessions will help us to value ourselves, each other and allow us to achieve.
Developing this understanding supports development of children's spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Children will learn that how they behave is a choice they make and has an effect on their own rights and those of others. The children will become aware that their family and school will love and support them through their struggles, but not solve their problems for them.
We need to equip our children with the insight that their struggles and failures help grow them into stronger, more successful people. It is important we help our children overcome the emotional blocks they face, which can create self-imposed limitations. We must teach them to set high standards for themselves and to never apologize for striving to live up to those higher standards. Our goal should be to encourage our children to think as big as they can, expect nothing less than the best, to have courage and, most importantly, to be kind.
