Literacy- Spelling

Today we are going to focus on our spelling and look at the prefixes dis-, mis- and un-. Work through the powerpoint then complete the sorting activity. When you have sorted the prefixes you can move onto the application activity putting the words into sentences. Remember you can look up any of the words you are unsure of. Don't worry about printing out the sheets you can just write in your books.

Numeracy

Warm up: log in to Timestables Rockstars and challenge your multiplication skills.

Today you will be finding equivalent fractions so that you can make sure that you are super confident with finding them! Read through the Powerpoint and then work through the questions.

Guided Reading

Complete the follow up activity that follows on from Friday's comprehension.

RE

The Good Samaritan

The story of the Good Samaritan, as told by Jesus in one of the gospels of the New Testament.
A traveller is beaten up and robbed, and left for dead along the road. A priest comes by, but deliberately avoids the man. A lawyer also comes by, but he too avoids the injured. Finally, a Samaritan comes by, and he helps the injured man, in an act of mercy and compassion.

The Good Samaritan didn’t turn a blind eye when other needed help. So, just like him try to do an act of kindness to help someone else in these difficult times. There are lots of activities to choose from but always speak to an adult at home before you do one:

Activity Three.

What about using School’s Twitter account to see how each other are getting on? You could take a photo of all the great things you’ve been up to, to share on our school Twitter account for your friends in class to see, you could draw a lovely picture, take photos of your work or maybe design a lovely message you want to share with them.

Activity Four

Or simply help out with kind acts at home such as helping to clean or cook. Maybe you could call, video message or write letters for family members you don't live with.
