Nessy
Please remember to use Nessy- little and often works best. 30 minutes on a spelling activity and 30 minutes of a reading activity will really help with your child's literacy skills.
Oxford Owl Online Reading Books
Reading at home during this time when schools are closed to your children is really important, particularly if they struggle with reading. Pick a suitable reading level where your child can comfortably read most words- don't worry if this is from a different age group. Reading for 10/15 minutes everyday will really help progress.
Key Word Activity
Using an old box, make a monster with a mouth so you can post the key words. Either read the key words and ask your child to post them, or if they find this easy, ask your child to read the word as they post them. Once posted, ask your child tp write the word down (if they can remember how).
Maths Game
Today's Maths game is Stone Age Stu- this game helps build fluency and recall of times tables. You can pick which times tables to work on at the beginning of the game. In school, we start with 2s, 5s and 10s.
