In the UK, we have a fantastic service called the NHS.

 

Work through the powerpoint all about the NHS.

 

Have you ever experienced nurturing from the NHS when yourself or someone you know has had to go to the hospital?

 

The NHS hasn’t been around forever though, it started in 1948, 3 years after WW2. Before this, patients had to pay to get treated. It has been around for 72 years!

 

Visit the websites to find out about the NHS and then in your books create a timeline of the history of the NHS
