Tuesday 9th June

Wake up, Shake up!

Can you have a go at joining in with this Troll's dance.

Phonics: prefix game

Main: Today we will be using the adjectives from yesterday’s lesson to write a description of your favourite character from the Wizard of Oz.  I have chosen to write about Dorothy. I have highlighted my adjectives.

A young and sprightly girl, Dorothy lives with her aunt and uncle on the bleak Kansas prairie. She is energetic and delights in her dog Toto. Dorothy is sweet and simple. She lives in the present and does not trouble herself with much anxiety or worry. She is short and petite, with long brown hair. She has lovely, rosey cheeks and shiny, brown eyes. She wears a blue and white checked dress and fashions a pair of sparkly red shoes.

Now see if you can write a character description for your favourite character from the book.

Main: Watch Mrs Stephani’s lesson from yesterday if you need reminding about addition.

Now answer the questions from today’s worksheet. Remember to write your numbers in the correct columns and use a ruler to draw your straight lines.

Topic-: Choose a friend from your class. Write their name in different colours on a cloud. Now choose a lovely adjective to describe them using each letter of their name. Write them on separate strips. If you haven’t got any coloured paper you can just colour each strip in. Ask your grown up to upload them onto twitter so that we can see them.
