Please remember to use Nessy- little and often works best. 30 minutes on a spelling activity and 30 minutes of a reading activity will really help with your child's literacy skills.
Oxford Owl Reading Online
Please take some time to read everyday. This will really improve fluency and decoding skills. This website has free online books for each of the Primary stages, choose the stage your child is most comfortable at, try not to worry too much about what age group the book is in, it is more important that the children can read most of the words in the book without getting frustrated.
The activity today will help your child learn how to spell the key words. Draw the shape of a rainbow on a large piece of paper or cardboard. Write a key word on each arch of the rainbow in rainbow colours.
Remember that if you are ready to move onto new words, every key word card has been uploaded onto this site- You can find them near the top of the SEN page.
Today's game is Crossroad Chaos- please concentrate on subtraction today. Fluency in Maths is a key skill and like fluency in reading, the only way to get better is to practice a little everyday. You will know your child has fluency when they can answer the subtraction questions without counting back. Then you will be able to make the game a little harder.
