LO: To understand who Kandinsky was and the style of artwork he created

Today we will be finding out about the artist Kandinsky. (Have a look at the PowerPoint I have attached to help you). He was a famous artist who was born in Russia in 1866. His art work is very abstract and uses bright colours. Click on some of the links in the PowerPoint to find out about the music he loved and what abstract art is.

Kandinsky was part of the Bauhaus movement. See the ‘Bauhaus presentation’ for information about this.

This was a style of Art which was very popular. It used geometric shapes and bold colours.
