LO: To research a famous scientist, using technology safely and being discerning in evaluating digital content.
In our learning objective, it says we must be discerning about digital content. Being discerning means having a good judgement. Not everything we see on the internet is true, so be careful!
You can research any scientist who is famous for their work on light. My suggestions are:
Christiaan Huygens - In his Traité de la Lumière (1690; “Treatise on Light”), the Dutch mathematician-astronomer Christiaan Huygens formulated the first detailed wave theory of light, in the context of which he was also able to derive the laws of reflection and refraction.
Thomas Edison - Thomas Alva Edison (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931) was an American inventor and businessman who has been described as America's greatest inventor. He developed many devices in fields such as electric power generation, mass communication, sound recording, and motion pictures.
