Key Word Activity
Using the cards from yesterday, with an addition of a 'BOOM' card. pile the cards up. This game is similar to snap. Each player has a pile of cards, each card will have either a key word, or BOOM written on it. The players turn a card over one at a time and read it. If they read it correctly, they get to keep the card, until they play the BOOM card, when they loose their cards. The winner is the player with the most cards at the end of the game.
Today's game is 'Defend the Tree' please concentrate on subtraction- there are different options to make it easier or harder. Ideally, your child will be able to answer the questions automatically without having to count- when they can do this, they are ready to move on.
