Notice for Friday

Literacy - Different versions of incy wincy

Have a listen to the different versions of incy wincy spider! Which one is your favourite? Can you create your own?

Topic - Can you make a web?

Can you gather sticks from your garden or on your daily walk and try and make a spider web! You could add some wool or string to wrap around it!

Time to talk

Have a talk to your adult about spiders. What do you know about them? What features do they have? Do you like them? Where do they live? If you have a garden, why not go outside and see if you can find any spiders or signs of spiders!

Race to the top of the water spout

To play this game you will need:

- Paper

- Pencil

- Dice

- Scissors

Get a grown up to draw a large water spout and add numbered circles 1-20 along the water spout (similar to the one above). Create some spider counters, you could draw some different coloured spiders on paper and cut them out.

Place you spiders at the bottom of the spout and roll the dice. Move your spider that many spaces towards the top of the spout.

Who will reach the top first?

The sound of the day is 'p'

How many animals can you think of that start with the sound p?

Rhyme time - The terrible tickle

Can you try and segment and blend these words?

Physical Development

To play the game corners you will need a large space, if you can get outside then that will be perfect, if not then that's ok :-)

Draw 4 pictures of a spider, water spout, sunshine and rain and place them in 4 corners. Move around in different ways: crawl like a spider, tiptoe like drops of rain, jump up like the sun. Get an adult to shout out one of the pictures and then travel to that picture as fast as you can. Move back to the centre of the space and start again :-)

I hope you have fun :-)
