Preschool/ Nursery Admissions

If you require a Preschool/Nursery place please complete and return the form to school at the address below. Please see our Preschool/Nursery policy for criteria for admission.

The system Trafford use to administer Preschool/Nursery places has changed. Please read carefully as it contains important information for all parents.



In order to be eligible for a funded Preschool Place you must complete an online declaration for Tarfford

*Failure to complete will affect the availability of your place


Parent Declaration* – Every Parent regardless of hours need to fill this in

Trafford need to know where you will be having your early years place. This includes the universal 15 hour places which everyone gets and the places offered as part of the 30 hours free childcare scheme.

What ALL parents/carers need to do

Complete an online Early Years Parent Declaration form which you will find on Trafford

This online system will open on 1 July 2018

Full –Time Children (using 30 hour funding)

In addition if you have been allocated a full-time place and wish to use 30 hour funding you need to have applied before 31st August 2018 otherwise you will be charged for the place until December 2018. We need your eligibility code to enable us to allocate your place 30 Hours Free Childcare

To claim your hours this is what you need to do before 31 August 2018:

STEP 1 Confirm you are eligible using the online Childcare Service:

If you are unable to access the internet you can contact the Customer Interaction Centre on 0300 123 4097. Eligible parents will receive an 11 digit code which starts with 5000.

STEP 2 Give your 11 digit code to your school nursery or other early years provider where you will claim funded hours. They will check your code is valid.


Your eligibility has to be checked every 3 months and you will receive notifications from HM Revenue & Customs reminding you to do this. It is important that you complete this check or your funding will stop and you may be asked to pay for the hours.
