Listen to the story ‘The Gingerbread Man’

You can also listen to this song to help you remember the story!

Now, have a chat with your grown-up about the story. Your grown-up can ask you these questions:

  • What happens at the beginning of the story?
  • How does the gingerbread man feel when he starts to run away?
  • Why goes the gingerbread man run away?
  • Who does the gingerbread man meet first?
  • What other animals does the gingerbread man meet?
  • What happens at the end of the story?
  • How does the fox trick the gingerbread man?
  • What is your favourite part of the story? Why do you like that part?

Have a go at acting out the story! Can you remember what the gingerbread man says to everyone he meets? ‘Run, run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man!’.

Practice your sounds and do your actions!

Can you remember what this sound is?
