Safeguarding statement

Role: Fixed term 1-1 Teaching Assistant (for the duration that the pupil attends Broomwood)

Broomwood Primary School is an inclusive school where all children are supported to achieve their full potential. We are looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to join our successful team, working 1 to 1 with a pupil who has a condition affecting mobility and development. The position will be based will in reception from September.

 

Working hours: Full-time- 36.25 hours per week. 7.45-3.45 each day with a 45 minute lunch. Term time only + 5 INSET days

Salary: Band 3 TA1 + SEN £20,043 pro rata

Start date: Thursday 1st September

We are looking for someone who will:

 

  • Work 1:1 with a child in reception, supporting their learning and general physical development
  • Undertake general duties under the instruction of the class teacher to support the aims and ethos of Broomwood Primary School
  • Deliver intimate care
  • Implement effective manual handling strategies to aid the pupil
  • To develop effective links with parents and key professionals
  • To enable the pupil to integrate into school life both inside and outside of the classroom
  • To support the class teacher in adapting learning activities
  • To support the pupil in achieving her EHCP targets and to report back to the SENDco effectively
  • To contribute to reports and act upon advice of other professionals
  • Be a team player and flexible in approach.
