Literacy
Sing along to Incy Wincy Spider and then order the pictures. As you sing can you find the correct picture.
If you do not have access to a printer, draw the pictures instead.
Maths
Set up a tray of salt or sand or glitter.
Show the children a shape and ask them to draw it with their finger in the tray.
Model with your finger in the air and talk the shape.
If you were asking them to draw a circle—all around we go, round and round!
A square - straight across and then straight down, straight across and then straight down.

Try some Friday baking a lovely Spider Treat for the weekend.
What you need:
· 125 g unsalted butter
· 200 g chocolate buttons
· 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
· 1 tsp vanilla essence
· 1 cup caster sugar
· 1 cup plain flour
· 1 tsp baking powder
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C and line a 20cm x 31cm baking tray with foil, and then spray it with cooking spray and place to one side.
In a small saucepan melt butter and chocolate over a low heat. Once melted, add eggs and vanilla essence and beat to combine.
Add sugar, flour and baking powder, stir well to combine then pour into the baking tray.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven, cool on wire rack then cut into circular shapes—you could use a cookie cutter or an upside down mug when cool.
Then decorate…
You could use pretzels, liquorice or matchmakers for legs. Smarties, M&Ms or skittles for eyes.
