What would you see on a farm?

What would you see on the farm?

During this topic we will be finding out about all the different animals you may find on the farm, listening to the noises they make, learning about where they live and what they like to eat and drink.

The weekly challenging questions are:

1 Why did Old MacDonald have a farm?

2 Why would a farmer keep some cows?

3 Where does my woolly jumper come from? (2 week story unit)

4 Why is it important to have tractors on a farm? (2 week story unit) fruit and vegetables

In Literacy we will be focusing on joining in with repeated refrains from the stories we read and beginning to understand how stories are structured. We will also be beginning to listen for the initial sounds in words familiar to us.

In Maths we will be learning to compare two groups of objects, knowing when we have the same amount. Nursery will be beginning to record their findings using the marks they make.
