We created our own compositions of a storm. We thought about how a storm started and developed. We used instruments to change the dynamics and tempo.
On Wednesday 15th April KS1 went to Tatton Park to learn all about plants.
We learnt about the history of Tatton Park and the mansion of the Egerton family that lived there for over 200 years.
We visited a Japanese garden and a green house full of exotic plants.
In the afternoon we dug under leaf litter to find minibeasts. Zach found a centipede. We made bug hotels and learnt how bees pollinate flowers.
As part of our stunning start we dressed up as our favourite superhero. Who is your favourite superhero?
We learnt how to do a range of karate moves to fight pretend villians.
What is a plant? Do all plants have seeds? How do plants grow? What is the function of the stem?
We have been carrying out a range of investigations to find out the answers.
Our trip to Broomwood Woods
We used our skills in geography to plot our route to the woods on a map. We followed the map to get there.
In science we were learning about different types of plants. What plants did you find?

In DT we designed and made vegetable samosas for a Diwali picnic. We learnt the skills to cut, chop, peel and grate vegetables. We chose the ingredients and designed our own samosa.
We enjoyed making and tasting them.
We dressed up in traditional Indian clothes and learnt a Bollywood dance.
