MUSIC

We created our own compositions of a storm. We thought about how a storm started and developed. We used instruments to change the dynamics and tempo.

Our trip to Tatton Park

On Wednesday 15th April KS1 went to Tatton Park to learn all about plants.

We learnt about the history of Tatton Park and the mansion of the Egerton family that lived there for over 200 years.

We visited a Japanese garden and a green house full of exotic plants.

In the afternoon we dug under leaf litter to find minibeasts. Zach found a centipede. We made bug hotels and learnt how bees pollinate flowers.

What is a plant? Do all plants have seeds? How do plants grow? What is the function of the stem?

We have been carrying out a range of investigations to find out the answers.

Our trip to Broomwood Woods

We used our skills in geography to plot our route to the woods on a map. We followed the map to get there.

In science we were learning about different types of plants. What plants did you find?

When we visit in the Summer do you think we will see more or less plants in bloom? Why?
