Parent Information

Uniform

Please ensure all items of uniform, including coats, bags and hats are labelled with your child's name. Children often get wet/dirty during their activities during the day and need a change of clothes, please ensure they have spares available in their bag as we only have a very limited amount.

Home stars

We love to celebrate your child's achievements at home. Please try to complete the home stars sheet and send in a note/sticky note with your child's achievement on it for us to celebrate and display in class.

Chatterbags

Please encourage your child to select one or two items in their chatterbag that will tell us something that they have done at home. It may be a train ticket from a trip, a receipt from a trip to the shop or a photograph. Chatter bags will initially be shared by the child in a small group with an adult. When the children are used to the process the Chatterbags will be available in the Speaking and Listening area for children to share with their peers independently at a time they choose.

How to help at home

Please find website links on the nursery home page to various games/songs and activities that you can do at home. Nursery will be holding 'Play and Stay' sessions throughout the year where you can come and join an activity with your child and find out more about how to support their learning and development at home. Dates for these events will be shared nearer the time. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's development or how to help at home please ask a member of the team.
