Safeguarding statement

Broomwood Primary School is committed to the safeguarding of all its learners, staff and visitors. Safeguarding is a priority with arrangements in place to ensure learners feel, and are safe on school premises and during off site activities.

The learner experience and individual achievement are paramount and safeguarding initiatives are developed to impact positively upon this. The school ensures that safeguarding legislation and guidance are adhered to and taken into account when developing and revisiting policies, procedures and associated arrangements.

The school provides a safe physical environment for its learners and staff, ensuring that the premises are of a good standard. Health and Safety arrangements are in place to ensure adherence to current legislation and guidance.

Anyone who applies for a position at Broomwood Primary will be subject to recruitment and selection procedures designed to emphasise the school’s commitment to the safeguarding of its learners and staff. Nursery Class teacher-

Full time, Permanent and to commence from June 2018 or as soon as possible after this date. This position is not appropriate for NQTs.

 

Salary: £24,728-£35,927 (Reference points 2 – UPS1)

 

Broomwood Primary School has an early years department including a pre-school, a 60 place nursery (part-time) and two reception classes. We are looking for a passionate, hardworking early years practitioner who would love to lead our nursery team (3 TA’s) and provide outstanding learning opportunities for the children in our creative school.

  • You have expertise within early years and are passionate about supporting and developing the learning of young children
  • You are an outstanding early years practitioner and innovative with your teaching
  • Have an understanding of the new early years framework and be familiar with what is expected for nursery aged children

SENCO- Non class based

Full time, permanent and to commence from September 2018. This position is not suitable for NQT’s

 

Salary : M2 scale- UPS 3 (£24,728-£38,633) plus SEN point (£2106)

 

Due to the retirement of our outstanding SENCO, we are looking for a talented and inspiring individual who is passionate about SEN related issues and can initiate and develop strategies to ensure that our SEND pupils achieve their true potential.

 

To be considered for this role it is beneficial that:

 

  • You are knowledgeable about all aspects of SEN- cognition and learning, communication and language, SEMH, Physical difficulties
  • You have experience of or the capability of developing and delivering programmes for pupils with SEN
  • You have an enthusiastic and creative approach to supporting children with SEN and are able to support colleagues in developing a strong inclusive practice
  • You have knowledge of the EYFS and the National Curriculum as well as national strategies related to teaching pupils with SEN
  • You have proven excellent behaviour management skills and are interested in innovative ways to teach to minimise poor behaviour
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
  • You are a good team player, with a caring and dedicated approach and with the ability to motivate others
  • You are energetic and are willing to engage in all aspects of school life to achieve the best for the children within the school
  • You have a good knowledge and understanding of effective record keeping and how to present data effectively
  • You have a positive professional attitude and the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of partners and stakeholders.
  • You are flexible and willing to try out new initiatives and are able to manage your own time effectively
